Remember back in 2016 when it was a forgone conclusion from the liberal media that Hillary Clinton was going to defeat Donald Trump in the presidential election?
You know, because of her wide margins in national polls? Well, the same thing appears to be happening again… and it’s pointing to a Trump RE-ELECTION.
As first reported by Newsmax, President Trump leads Joe Biden 51% to 44% in the so-called "red states" he won in 2016, according to an ABC News/Washington Post survey released over the weekend.
Biden had a wide, 65% to 32% lead in the states won by Clinton in 2016 (no surprise there).
Why is this important?
For starters, red states helped propel Trump to the 2016 victory and if he’s already firmly ahead in those states, there’s no shot of Biden stealing one of those red states critical to the Electoral College which will ultimately decide who wins in November.
Also, according to the poll Biden leads Trump by 10 points (53% to 43%) in a national poll. But that’s to be expected. After all, Clinton easily won the popular vote over Trump in 2016.
But it’s those critical “red states” that should have Biden supporters and liberals very worried. If Trump continues to dominate those states, it’s a good indicator of his re-election.
The poll also pointed out that Biden's national lead was also halved to five points, 51% to 46%, among people who say they are certain to vote in November, underlining the importance of generating enthusiasm to drive voter turnout. Potential Trump voters were more enthusiastic.
We will continue to monitor how Trump and Biden are fairing in these red states. It could very well determine who wins in November.
